Auxey-Duresses is located between the winegrowing areas of Saint-Romain and Meursault along the Route d ’Autun. With its hamlets named Petit-Auxey and Melin, Auxey Duresses is undoubtedly one of the sanctuaries of Celtic and Gallo-Roman vine growing in Burgundy, thanks to its former collaboration with the Abbey of Cluny.
This wine has a deep ruby colour and purple tinges. The nose reveals scents of very ripe red and black fruit as well as floral scents. On the palate, the tannin is discreet and the wine is well-balanced, delicious and fruity, with lots of fullness and a very elegant finish. This wine will be easy to enjoy when young, but possesses complexity. It will be even better after a few years of aging.
