92 (80% pinot noir and 20% chardonnay, all from Bouzy): Vivid orange-pink. Mineral-tinged aromas of cherry, smoky lees, rose and orange zest. Sappy and harmonious, with impressive vivacity and purity to its red fruit and floral pastille flavors. Strong mineral and peppery spice notes add complexity to the impressively persistent and focused finish. For all this Champagne's power, the overall impression I get is elegance and precision.

90 The NV Brut Grand Rose is an absolutely delicious wine, particularly at the NV level. This is a serious rose, which is immediately evident in the wine’s dark hue and dense, full-bodied personality. Their wine possesses layers of candied Pinot fruit, all woven together in a rich, sensual style. This sweeping, large-scaled rose will offer its finest drinking at the dinner table. This is Lot 235066, disgorged November 6, 2007. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2011. This is a superb set of releases from Bara, arguably the most renowned grower in the village of Bouzy, where Pinot Noir reigns supreme.

90 Fine intensity and expression in this light- to medium-bodied Champagne, exhibiting a candied, cherry confit character to its flavors. Balanced and juicy, with good persistence. Drink now.
