The AOC Côte de Brouilly is one the most renowned appellations of the Beaujolais region. The winegrowing area clings to the slopes of Mont Brouilly, covering it almost totally, allowing just the peak of the hill to emerge, protected by a beautiful chapel, whence the Virgin keeps a watchful eye. The soils comprised of “Brouilly bluestone” recall their volcanic origins. Their specific character is found in the wines.
It displays a rich purple, ruby colour. This wine opens up on intense aromas of small red and black fruit. Concentrated on the palate, it stays fresh and the minerality of the terroir is fully revealed. Made for aging, this wine will reveal its elegance completely after a few years of aging.
