92 Full, rich and big, with cherries and plums, buttered nuts and vanilla. It’s ripe and varietal, beautifully structured and compared with previous vintages, reined in just a bit.

92 Bright and jazzy, with refreshing acidity to balance focused blueberry, currant and plum flavors, which sail through the nonstop, racy finish. White pepper and hints of smoke make it even more interesting. Best from 2008 through 2014. 550 cases made.

90 Medium ruby. Deep, concentrated and exotic bouquet of blackberry, candied plum, vanilla and dark chocolate, with a hint of smoked meat. Sappy and full, showing a lush, spicy dark berry, chocolate and espresso character. Finishes on an exotic note of five-spice powder, with fine-grained tannins.
