93 Rich, dense and chewy too, this red offers a core of dried currant, dark berry, fresh-turned earth, black licorice and roasted herb notes. Ends with grainy tannins. Drink now through 2028. 1,000 cases made.

93 This is so great now. Aromas of plums and dark chocolate with hints of flowers. Bramble berries. Sweet tobacco. Full-bodied, with silky and refined tannins, with super fine tannins and a beautiful finish. Enjoy it now but will improve with age.

91 Good saturated ruby-red. Very fresh aromas of black raspberry, licorice and toffee. Lovely energy to the classic dark berry, licorice and graphite flavors. Impressively concentrated for this bottling and showing considerable early sex appeal, especially considering that it was bottled barely a month prior to my visit. Finishes with noteworthy lift and length.

91 The 2009 Proprietary Blend Matriarch opens with gorgeous aromatics. Ripe, silky tannins support hints of sweet raspberry, flowers and spices. The 2009 is subtle, perfumed and totally polished from the very first taste. This sensual, beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon is a great introduction to the vintage at BOND. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2021.
